Tina Smith is a Licensed Professional Counselor whose focus is on helping adolescents, adults, and couples struggling with depression, anxiety, perfectionism, and relationship concerns. She provides tailored evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), and solution focused models of therapy to help clients effectively cope with life’s challenges. Tina’s therapeutic approach is warm, direct, affirming, and strengths-based. She provides therapy in the following areas:

Tina earned her master’s degree in counseling from Southern Methodist University after receiving a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. Tina has advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), an evidence based approach treating trauma and related disorders. Tina’s clinical expertise was enriched through working in Carrollton and Farmers Branch school district, community mental health, including The Family Place in Dallas, and doing extensive work and training in healthy relationships. 

In her free time, Tina enjoys taking trampoline classes to stay active and spending time with her friends, family, and two sweet pups.
