Adult ADHD Skills and Support Group
Dallas CBT offers group therapy for adults struggling with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). This group provides helpful education about how ADHD commonly impacts people, strategies and tools for managing symptoms, and a supportive space to connect with others going through similar experiences
Who is this for?
This group is for anyone wanting more support managing attention, focus, motivation, executive functioning, and / or emotion regulation. You do not need a formal ADHD diagnosis to participate in this group, though group content will be focused on ADHD symptoms and experiences of people with ADHD.
What can you expect?
Group sessions will be held on Zoom and last around 90 minutes. Our group follows a six-session cycle, with sessions dedicated to:
- Attention, Focus, & Motivation – Overcoming inertia to start, complete, and focus throughout tasks.
- Emotion Regulation & Rejection Sensitivity – Managing big emotions and dealing with feelings of rejection.
- Executive Functioning & Getting Organized – Creating ADHD-friendly organization systems and learning time management skills.
- Relationships & Masking – Understanding common interpersonal (e.g., dating, friendship, family, workplace) dynamics that can impact people with ADHD.
- Pride, Shame, & Self-Compassion – Exploring impacts that ADHD and associated experiences can have on one’s sense-of-self through a neurodiversity-affirming lens.
- Understanding & Managing Symptoms – Reviewing evidence-based treatments (including medication, counseling, holistic approaches) and building your own ADHD support plan
Each session will include:
- An opening check-in
- A review of psychoeducation content, with accompanying visual resources
- An interactive exercise to build relevant skills and/or apply learning
- A closing check-out, including goal-setting for the week
Who leads the group?
Group is lead by Marla Munro and Celine Horner. Dr. Munro has extensive background and training working with ADHD, and has run a version of this group most recently at a local university. Ms. Horner is an LPC-Associate who has worked with ADHD regularly since joining Dallas CBT in early 2026.
What is the cost for participating in this group?
To participate in our Adult ADHD group on a drop-in basis, each 90-minute group session costs $125. You can join for any and all of the six sessions in this series and are welcome to repeat sessions in future group cohorts.
Group members who are not current Dallas CBT clients will need to complete a regular or abbreviated Dallas CBT intake before you attend your first group session.
