Jordyn is a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker and specializes in working with children, adolescents, and adults who have experienced anxiety and trauma. She is a Diplomate and Certified CBT Therapist through the Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies and is passionate about providing culturally sensitive, evidence-based treatments including CBT, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). Jordyn takes a strength-based approach to helping clients overcome life’s challenges and improve their wellbeing.
In addition to clinical work, Jordyn also trained and consulted within school systems and organizations to instill trauma-informed practices. Jordyn is passionate about working with entire systems to help create lasting change, and uses this lens to understand clients and families in their current context. Jordyn also enjoys providing parent support and training using the Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) and is a Triple P-accredited provider. Jordyn is certified in Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Managing and Adapting Practices (MAP), and Crisis Oriented Recovery Services (CORS) and draws from these modalities, along with Attachment Theory, in her work with clients.
Jordyn earned a Master of Social Work from UCLA and bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UT Austin. Jordyn trained in both community mental health agencies and in private practice in Los Angeles.
As a new Dallas resident, Jordyn enjoys exploring Dallas sites with her 2-year-old Labrador, Penny.
